Synopsis:

Based on a remarkable true story, The Fear of 13 follows Nick Yarris (Adrien Brody), a man who spent 22 years on death row for a crime he didn’t commit. After decades of solitary confinement and a routine traffic stop that spiraled into a nightmare, Nick takes the stand to tell his own story—not to ask for an appeal, but to request his own execution date.

Through a series of life-altering visits with a persistent prison volunteer named Jacki (Tessa Thompson), Nick begins to reconstruct his past and fight for a future he thought was lost. Written by Lindsey Ferrentino and directed by Tony winner David Cromer, this gripping drama is a visceral exploration of the power of storytelling, the flaws of the justice system, and the resilience of the human spirit.
