Synopsis:
Welcome to the Copa. Just In Time transforms the Circle in the Square Theatre into an intimate, immersive 1960s swinging nightclub, complete with a live onstage band and cabaret seating that puts you right in the middle of the action. This high-energy musical tells the meteoric and heartbreaking story of Bobby Darin, the legendary crooner who knew his time was borrowed and spent every second of it racing to become a legend.
The show moves at a "brassy" pace, following Darin from his humble Bronx beginnings to his rise as a global sensation with hits like "Beyond the Sea," "Mack the Knife," and "Splish Splash." Developed and directed by Tony winner Alex Timbers (Moulin Rouge!), the production doesn't just tell Darin’s story—it celebrates the sheer adrenaline of live performance. Along the way, we meet the women who shaped his life, including pop icon Connie Francis and Hollywood starlet Sandra Dee, exploring the secrets and health struggles Darin hid behind his signature finger-snapping charisma.
